Las Vegas, My First Xpro Batch

There is a technique called “cross-processing” (a.k.a: xpro, E-to-C) that I have been longing to try, because it gives the most colour-rich, lomo-ish, contrasy results. To achieve such effect, one would shoot with slide film (positives) and process the roll as negatives (regular film). My Vegas trip (more about it later) was a good opportunity for some photo-shooting. I brought my Olympus XA camera with me, along with my mom and my Canon digital camera.

Back Story:
The role of slide got stuck inside my camera as I rewinded it. I don’t have one of those fancy black bags, nor do I have any access to a darkroom. The darkess concealed place I could find at home was my closet. I turned off the lights, crawled into the very cramped closet and slided the door closed. I made sure there were no gaps between the doors and started “blind-winding”. It was way harder than I thought and it took me a good five minutes to do it.
Who would have thought the sliding doors don’t have handles from the inside? Took me another five sweaty minutes to get out. I am glad the photos came out alright.
My digital photos turned out bad because I was being careless and screwed up on the ISO setting. I will post them later.
