It took us three visits to pass AirCare today, because they were unable to retrieve information from the on-board diagnostic system. Apparently, starting from January 2008, they need to scan the obd for cars that were manufactured in 1998 or after. Since the battery has been disconnected for more than a year, the obd on my car has lost all the information. We were told to keep driving the car and revisit AirCare until the obd is reactivated again. There is no indication light or whatever. It’s a secret chip inside the car that collects information.
It’s worth celebrating.
