Not a remastered release. I don’t think I have posted photos from this party before.
April 24, 2004 @ my apartment in Japan
I invited a few Japanese friends over one last time before I went back to Canada. Continue Reading…

The craziest and most guilty thing I did in 2007 was visiting Japan too many times, so here is another belated back-from-Tokyo post.
All Star Don @ 若狭屋 Wakasa-ya
I first learned about this seafood-don chain restaurant from some random TV show uploaded to YouTube. I could not Google for the address because I didn’t know how to say the Kanji name. I was lucky enough to find one when I went to Ueno.
You can order a la carte, or if you are like me and don’t speak Japanese, you can go for the “All Star Don”.
Wakasa-ya is nationwide, despite the fact that they don’t have a website. Here is the one I went to:
Satou Steak House
I went there for menchi-katsu last time, so I knew they got some good beef there.
Magical Pudding @ Ko-men
They used to call this "The Best Pudding in History", but they changed the name to "Magical Pudding" recently. This pudding is the signature dish of this chain ramen restaurant. It really is the best pudding I have had and I go there every time I visit Japan. http://www.kohmen.com/

The jist of this post is, on a sunny day I went to Kawaguchiko, one of the five lakes surrounding the great Mt. Fuji, but a big cloud decided to ruin my trip by covering the mountain top. The following is one of the very few photos showing Mt. Fuji. If you are still interested, read on.

I have started uploading photos from my last trip again. If you are subscribed to my feed, you probably have seen some delicious buffet photos from Hong Kong, and some flowery macro shots from Kawaguchi-ko, Japan.
My feed only shows the 10 most recent flickr uploads. Maybe I will upload 10 photos a day until I am done.
I don’t think I have ever ordered a hamburger or cheeseburger at McD’s in my life. I just hate patties, except the ones from In n Out (U.S. only) and MOS Burger (East Asia only). Sometimes it is depressing to live in Canada.
I was not crazy about MOS Burger during the co-op days, but there was no MOS Burger nearby, let alone a Green MOS Burger. Next time you visit Japan, locate a Green MOS Burger ahead of time and make a trip to try their Takumi cheeseburger.
ニッポンのバーガー 匠(たくみ)チース
Japan’s Burger Takumi Cheese
Comes with soda, demi-glace and soya sauce, only at Green MOS Burger.
Enough blogging from me. I need to go into hibernation for the next few weeks.
